My Thoughts, Solicited: October 2015 Solicitations

We may be about half-way through October and the year’s getting closer to ending, but the fun isn’t stopping! Marvel begins their All-New, All-Different Marvel Universe (even though Secret Wars still rages on) and DC is still continuing with a pretty-much-powerless Superman and a new Batman, and Boom! Studios has a reunion going on between two creators! See what October has to offer, so if it’s already out and you don’t have it, give it a shot and you just might like it.

Free Comic Book Life: The Valiant

Welcome back to another installment of Free Comic Book Life. I hope the last two installments have been helpful. So far, we have talked about how wonderful having library access is to comic book fans who are lacking funding. We have also talked about comic book characters, that were not created by Marvel or DC, that have stood the test of time. This week’s issue? Original characters are great, but are there any other Shared Universes besides the Marvel or DC universes? Why, yes, there are. Quite a few in fact, but this week we are going to focus on the most successful one- The Valiant Universe.

We are on week two, so time for issue number two: Most of the original, independent comics that we love don’t last very long on the shelves.
