Back in 2008, Warner Bros. paid oodles of money to acquire the rights to the anime classic, Akira. Since then they’ve been trying desperately to get the movie off the ground. Hey Warner Bros, allow me to let you in on a little secret; Nobody wants to see an adaptation of Akira!
Sylvester Stallone announced a couple weeks ago via Twitter that Ronda Rousey’s was joining The Expendables 3 cast. Now he’s dropped another juicy newsbit announcing that Bruce Willis will no longer be a part of the film and taking over for him will be none other than Harrison Ford!
Let me start this off by exclaiming just how much I love The Inbetweeners. I love it “a lot”, that’s how much. I honestly don’t even watch much television from the UK but their type of humor is something that I absolutely adore. I’m embarrassed to admit that I’ve yet to watch The Inbetweeners movie, but that doesn’t make me any less excited that there’s news about the upcoming sequel. As far as I’m concerned, having that much more Inbetweeners to catch up on is never a bad thing. The update on the sequel is courtesy of their Facebook page, addressed to their dearest “fwends.”
Along with a viral video showcasing the mission statement of Trask Industries, and a few stills of the Sentinels, we’ve finally gotten our first look at what Peter Dinkalge will look like in X-Men: Days of Future Past! Peter Dinklage will be playing Bolivar Trask, the creator behind the Sentinels. If you couldn’t tell by the his hairdo and that epic mustache, Dinklage’s character is hanging out in 1967, trying to get his Sentinel program off the ground.
Like most Batman fans, when I first heard the announcement that Batman would be in the Man of Steel sequel I was overwhelmed with excitement. When I heard that the plot would revolve around Frank Miller’s Dark Knight Returns, specifically Batman laying the smack down on Superman, I don’t need to tell you just how ecstatic I felt.
After starring along side The Rock in Fast and Furious 6 and dating the Man of Steel himself, Henry Cavil, Gina Carano’s plunge into Hollywood continues with a project with Rob Liefeld, of all people. Honestly, had any other woman been attached to this project, I probably wouldn’t have even batted an eye at it. But after seeing Gina Carano in Haywire, I’ve fallen in love with the idea of seeing her as a major action star. That said, Rob Liefeld’s Avengelyne isn’t exactly the kind of ‘action’ I was hoping for concerning Gina Carano’s movie career.
Looks like Sylvester Stallone isn’t content with recruiting every 80s actor star, along the major action stars of today, he’s now branching out and including stars who kick ass in real life, namely the UFC women’s bantamweight champion “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey!
Here we go again. It feels as though Amazing Spider-Man 2 and X-Men: Days of Future Past are in competition with one another to see who can release more promotional materials leading up to the movie. It’s getting a bit out of control, by the time the movies actually come out we’ll have seen bits and pieces of the entire thing. I’m exaggarating, obviously. And as a lover of most things Marvel comics, and their movie counterparts, I am magnetically drawn to every bit of news they release.
