TV and Web Series
While Separate Paths was easily the most emotional episode of War of the Damned, The Dead and the Dying is easily the most satisfying. In it we see Spartacus host his own gladiatorial games to raise the spirits of his followers, Caesar gets his revenge, Kore returns to Crassus’ arms and Tiberius finally gets what he deserves.
By year’s end fans of Walter and Jesse will sadly be saying goodbye to what is arguably the “best show on television”, Breaking Bad. Thankfully there’s a silver lining, we won’t have to say goodbye to everyone from Breaking Bad now that it’s been announced that “criminal lawyer” Saul Goodman will be receiving his own spin-off!
Joss Whedon’s upcoming S.H.I.E.L.D. television show has *gasp* changed it named to Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Spoiler Alert! Just as I predicted, Allen died. On a more important note, if you don’t want to know the fate of the important characters then I strongly suggest you watch “Welcome to the Tombs” before reading this. You’ve been warned.
Bioshock: Key to Freedom is Blue Goggles Films‘ swan song from GameTrailers.com. Since April 24th of 2012, Blue Goggles Films has been producing a monthly video game-based short film series, entitled De-Pixelated. The most recent De-Pixelated production being the epic 7+ minute Streets of Rage homage.
I would like to take the time to say, this is everything Samurai 7 wasn’t. Especially given the greatness of the opening fight sequence, no other fight scene lived up to it throughout the rest of the series. The Black Trailer, however, lives up to the reputation of the previous trailers, but like the White trailer, it goes a step further, with movement speed going so fast the eye is seemingly incapable of keeping up. I now know what Krillin experiences when he’s watching Super Saiyan Goku engaged in hand-to-hand combat. It’s fucking brilliant!
Spoiler Alert! Allen’s son Ben gets shot and nobody really noticed or cared. On a more important note, this recap contains heavy spoilers. Point being, if you don‘t want your precious Walking Dead experience spoiled then I strongly suggest you watch “This Sorrowful Life” before reading this. You’ve been warned.
