The Walking Dead is back for season six, and there have already been some tragic casualties. The characters aren’t the only ones doing battle – there are also miniature wars raging throughout the web between the fans posting spoilers and the fans who are, well, less than appreciative. These debates just highlight the growing popularity of the show, which exploded onto the scene six years ago with over five million viewers per episode and opened the latest season with almost 20 million viewers. Vampires may have dominated popular culture in the past, but passionate fans are helping propel brain eaters past bloodsuckers. Series like The Walking Dead and iZombie are bringing a new humanity – and differing viewpoints – to these formerly human protagonists.

I continue my coverage of The Walking Dead Season 4 with my recap of Episode 12, Still! As with every recap, you can expect me to add my own blend of comedy to an otherwise dramatic episode. In Still we learned that a bit the ole sauce makes Daryl angry, very angry, rich people in the zombie Apocalypse have a very peculiar fashion sense, there’s never a bad time or place for an impromptu act of arson!
I continue my coverage of The Walking Dead Season 4 with my recap of Episode 10, Claimed! As with every recap, you can expect me to add my own blend of comedy to an otherwise dark episode. In Claimed we learn that Twinkies aren’t the food-stuff capable of surviving the Apocalypse, Michonne gets a rough reminder that playtime is over, Rick is left Home Alone and has to do his best Sam Fisher impression meanwhile Sergeant Abraham Mustache try to co-exist and Eugene shows up just how he’s managed to survive so long… Oh, and spoilers! I made sure to turn my dryer off this time!
I continue my coverage of The Walking Dead Season 4 with my recap of Episode 10, Inmates! As with every recap, you can expect me to add my own blend of comedy to an otherwise dramatic episode. In Inmates we check-in with The Walking Dead characters who aren’t name Rick, Carl, and Michonne. We’re treated to Beth miraculously learning to speak, Tyreese moonlighting as a babysitter, and we see the return of a couple of familiar faces and even some new mustachioed ones. And for those super fans who couldn’t wait to see Tara again, you’re in luck! Lilly fans were not so lucky….
The Walking Dead Season 4 is back and my weekly recaps are back with it! As with every recap, you can except me to add my own blend of comedy to an otherwise dramatic (or at least attempting to be dramatic) episode. In “After” we learn definitively if The Governor will be back and continue to menace, Carl and Michonne face off to see who is the better (or worse) drama queen, and very importantly we learn the valuable lesson that it’s not a good idea to abscond on a hunt for chocolate pudding!
We’re weeks removed from the mid-season finale of Season 4 of The Walking Dead with the mid-season premiere is still months away. So in an effort to maintain the sanity of rabid fans of The Walking Dead I’ve made some predictions, for what they’re worth, concerning what I think may happens come February. Have any predictions of your own? Let me know in the comment section!
As with every recap, you can except me to add my own blend of comedy to an otherwise bummer of an episode. In the Mid-Season Finale we learn what happens when you bring a tank to a peace negotiation, Lilly wins the award for “Mother of the year”, The Governor shows us his sensitive side, and we say goodbye to an extra we never even knew existed.
As with every recap, you can except me to add my own blend of comedy to an otherwise game changing episode. This week’s episode we learn just how much The Governor appreciates Martinez for rescuing him from the walker pit, what happens when you have a conscious in the zombie Apocalypse, and you’ll witness just how easily a game of “tag” can go wrong. Rick, Carl, Michonne, and Hershel even make a brief cameo in this one!
