The Comic Bubble Podcast – Episode 058: TV/Movie Dinner With A Side Of Comics

Not much in the side of comic books news this week, with just the news of a Green Lantern/Stark Trek crossover and Archie vs Sharknado (yeah, not a joke…), but more news has fallen in this week into the TV realm from Flash and Arrow to Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. too. All that plus news on Wonder Woman’s new film director, who’s officially part of X-Men: Apocalypse and returning to the film from the previous two latest X-stallments (see what I did there?) and Kevin Fergalicious dishes news on the MCU from Spider-Man to Captain Marvel.

By now it’s been a little over a week since the X-Men’s 50th Anniversary event, Battle of the Atom has ended. Top Men… will keep them safe.

Spawn’s Angela To Crossover Into Marvel’s Age of Ultron

Angela, who made her first appearance in issue 9 of Spawn, will crossover into theMarvel Universe for the first time. She’ll be appearing in the final issue of the Age of Ultron mini series written by Brian Bendis. Angela hasn’t been in a comic book at all since the mid-90s so her inclusion in Age of Ultron is peculiar to say the least. I honestly can’t think of a more unexpected crossover. At least in recent memory.

All-New X-Men: Issue 7

Written by: Brian Michael Bendis Art by: David Marquez Before I review this issue I’ll bring you up to speed if you haven’t read the first six issues yet. At the conclusion of Avengers Vs X-men Cyclops, while being possessed by the Phoenix force, killed his long time mentor, Professor X. He escaped from prison and along with Magneto, Emma Frost and Magik began freeing mutants who were being held prisoner and recruiting new mutants at the onset of their powers manifesting. Cyclops is now a fugitive and has been branded as a terrorist.
