My Thoughts, Solicited – April 2015 Solicitations

April showers may bring May flowers, but it also brings comic books, too! Get ready for another alien encountering story with UFOlogy starting from Boom! Convergence roaring into gear, and Marvel setting everything up for Secret Wars next month with the final issues of Avengers and New Avengers and many more tying in! Pick a company, any company, and you’ll be hard pressed to not find something exciting or grand going on.

My Thoughts, Solicited: December 2014 Solicitations.

It’s time to close out the year with some new additions, some good-byes and a couple monkeys or two. With another movie getting a continuation in comic book form, (and the second for a movie with Kurt Russell) and scarecrows and mummies fighting about and what not, this is going to be one crazy December. Heroes that were villainous and villains that were heroic… this month’s got it all. Continue on to see what the end of the year holds and what you can expect moving on forward.

The Comic Bubble Podcast Episode 032: NYCC & Friends

Rejoined by the 1st Annual The Comic Bubble Super Fun Time Quiz Extravaganza Special Show champions, Peter Rivera and Ryan Betas, we all discuss some of the big news that came out from New York Comic Con 2014! Eric Powell’s The Goon, Titan Comics, the Guardians of the Galaxy animated series test footage, relaunches and reboots, and even Marvel’s year long Secret Wars event! Plus Archie vs Predator is coming from Dark Horse as is two more female spider characters solo books from Marvel! We also talk about what comics we read from what companies, jump on Ryan because as of yet he still hasn’t seen the Guardians of the Galaxy movie (Le gasp! I know, right?!), and there’s lots more than what’s said here!

The Comic Bubble Podcast Episode 019: Double Stuffed Oreo

Extra! Extra! Hear all about it! It’s a podcast stuffed to the rims with news, news, news! From a new black Captain America (and not the first time, either) to a new female Thor (this happened before too… but different situations), to rumors of series that might come and others that are happening, to series that are confirmed to end, to classic characters getting new stories and crossovers. October this year is packed with wall-to-wall of comics that you do not want to miss! Listen as well to see who’s being taken out of what TV-show, which characters are coming in, who could get their own, whose love life could be steaming up (ooh-la-la!) and why Josh Trank and FOX keep proving to be idiots with next year’s Fantastic Four movie. And a Namor film update (kinda)!

My Thoughts, Solicited: August Solicitations – DC/Marvel

We’re into the August solicitations now and everything is still a-sizzlin’ in the comic world. Grant Morrison’s Multiversity gets solicited after its announcement forever ago, while DC begins a new wave of cancellations. On the other hand with Marvel, they continue with their 75th anniversary celebration as a publisher as they finish up their summer event with Original Sin.

My Thoughts, Solicited: May 2014 Solicitations – DC & Marvel.

Your monthly insight for what books to keep an eye out is back again for comics shipping this May! An evil thought to be forever is done as the end of the future begins at DC in a new weekly series. Meanwhile, other new #1s pop up replacing old books and we say goodbye to another title leaving the New 52. Over at Marvel, their Original Sin is coming to light while an X-Men leaves the team to go space traveling (not again, amirite!) and Jim Starlin returns to a character he’s known for writing… none other than Thanos!
