My Thoughts, Solicited: July 2015 Solicitations

Summer time! What better way to enjoy your summer vacation and those nice sunny, beach-weather days than laying back in the sun, reading some comics? Sounds like heaven to me! Especially when you got brand new series and minis debuting, more tie-in books for Secret Wars, and conclusions that will either be heart-breaking or rage inducing, depending on how exactly they end. So put on some sunscreen, get that comfy lawn chair, and read away.

The Comic Bubble Podcast – Episode 058: TV/Movie Dinner With A Side Of Comics

Not much in the side of comic books news this week, with just the news of a Green Lantern/Stark Trek crossover and Archie vs Sharknado (yeah, not a joke…), but more news has fallen in this week into the TV realm from Flash and Arrow to Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. too. All that plus news on Wonder Woman’s new film director, who’s officially part of X-Men: Apocalypse and returning to the film from the previous two latest X-stallments (see what I did there?) and Kevin Fergalicious dishes news on the MCU from Spider-Man to Captain Marvel.

The Comic Bubble: Is ‘mum’ still the word?

In films and tv shows, there are always grand moments; the death of a character, the return of an old one, or a shocking cliffhanger that can completely change the tone and storyline. When those moments arrive, we’re usually caught off-guard and we’re just shocked, left speechless with our jaws reaching the floor. We didn’t see it coming and that gives those moments the big bang that knocks us out of our seats.
