The Comic Bubble Podcast Episode 031: Unbeatable Squirrel Bubble

From x-gened squirrels that cannot be defeated to spies from over the pond gracing comics –  this is only the tip of the comic news iceberg that is today’s episode! Forget winter… new books are coming! A handful alone from Valiant! A new series that was meant to be a film from Grant Morrison! It doesn’t end there, however – oh, no-sir-ree! Gotham gets a familiar face! Flash gets like three times as much! Walking Dead continuing to Dead on! X-Men on your TV screens, what?!?! Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. getting ready to pump some… iron. Man! And if that’s not enough icing, Ant-Man gets another cast member added! Batman v Superman possibly getting a popular Robin, may haps? Sony being nice with Marvel?! I can go on forever. “There’s so much more” has not been so truer.

My Thoughts, Solicited: November 2014 Solicitations

November’s bringing us a couple new #1’s, a very… “mind-suggestive” story, while really crazy stuff happens with Batman and the Apokolips world, and certain avian creatures become more than meets the eye! If that’s not enough, a certain Marvel hero gets dangerously close to villain-y! How about them apples?!

Iron Man 3 – Review

Oh Iron Man 3. I can’t even begin to explain just how excited I was for this movie. While Iron Man 2 injected more fun, and a bit of ridiculousness, into the Iron Man series, it looked as though Iron Man 3 was going to take a more serious approach. At the very least I had hoped that Iron Man 3 would fall somewhere between the first Iron Man movie and Iron Man 2 in terms of how good it was. It was easy to compare Iron Man 3 to Dark Knight Rises after the initial Iron Man 3 trailers were released. Both looked to be darker films with a somber tone, showing our heroes with their backs to the wall. There are certainly parallels to be drawn from Dark Knight Rises, but it unfortunately wasn’t the somber tone that Iron Man 3 echoed.

The Ultimate Iron Man Fandom

It’s no big surprise that people love dressing up as their favorite characters. They spend painstaking hours fashioning costumes to do justice to their comic book counterparts. If you’ve seen the incredible Iron Man and War Machine replica suits making waves around the Internet then you’ve likely bared witness to the work of Anthony Le.

Iron Man: Rise of Technovore – Trailer

Iron Man’s first foray into anime was a collaboration between Marvel and Madhouse back in 2010 with Iron Man: Animated Series. The 12 episode series was directed by Yuzo Sato based off of the story written by Warren Ellis. Marvel and Madhouse are teaming up again with Iron Man: Rise of Technovore, the direct-to-video follow-up to the animated series. This time around it’s written by Brandon Auman and directed by Hiroshi Hamasaki.

Ten Most Anticipated Movies of 2013

10) Gangsta Squad Emma Stone cosplaying as Jessica Rabbit? Count me in. Gangsta Squad may actually succeed where movies like Public Enemies have failed. At the very least we should get some bad ass actions scenes out of it.
